Book: Delirium
Author: Lauren Oliver
My Rating: ★★★★——————————————————————————-
Imagine a world, where love is treated as a disease. Where people are “cured”, taking love away from their whole being and live their lives without it until they die.
It was an emotional book. It touched me. I can’t even imagine a world with no love. A world controlled by a society where they treat people as a puppet. They choose your match and how many kids your should bear. I was like, “Their government is really fvcked up!” as I was reading the book.
Frankly I have loved the protagonist’s (Lena) love interest, Alex more than her. He played a big role in the novel. He was the one who showed Lena the truth. He opened her eyes. I was captivated by the way he told Lena the compelling truth about the “cure” and her love for her. But Lena on the other hand, was a strong character too, indeed.
I have read a lot of dystopian books. I must say I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 stars. The book’s totality for me isn’t that unique. But it was a sweet and emotional book. I’m hoping for its next book which is, Pandemonium to fulfill the hanging ending of this book!

This book is very good. I couldn’t put it down. Also, it is only 99 cents on Amazon, iBooks and BN.com. :)
